Tegnap hozták nyilvánosságra, hogy nem tervezik az első részt 3D-ben leadni a szűkös határidő miatt. 
Habár a film úgy volt beígérve, hogy már az első rész is 3D lesz, most meg kell elégednünk a sima 2D-vel. A súdió egyszerűen nem tudta volna igényesen lekonvertálni a filmet, így inkább lemondanak a felemás eredményről, legyen csak 2D.
Valahol jogos is a feltevés, mert az meg azért elég durva lett volna, ha van egy világsiker film és a 3D meg kritikán aluli.
A stúdió azonban továbbra is fenntartja a második rész 3D-s kivitelezését. Így talán még nagyobb dobás lesz, hogy csak az utolsó, végső rész kerül 3D-ben a mozikba.

Although Warner Bros. announced as long ago as last January that it was working on a 3D version of its two-part Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, it said today that it had abandoned plans to release the first part in 3D because there wasn’t enough time for it to “meet the highest standards of quality.” The studio plans to release the film in 2D on schedule on Nov. 19. It released a statement today (Friday) saying, “We do not want to disappoint fans who have long-anticipated the conclusion of this extraordinary journey, and to that end, we are releasing our film day-and-date on November 19, 2010 as planned. We, in alignment with our filmmakers, believe this is the best course to take in order to ensure that our audiences enjoy the consummate Harry Potter experience.” The studio added that it still expects to release a 3D version of Deathly Hallows Part 2 on July 15, 2011.
